AOP Launch Ceremony

Graana Group of Companies launched Association of Overseas Pakistanis (AOP). It is a Trust established to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and expats who plan to visit or settle in Pakistan. It works in close collaboration with the Government of Pakistan as well as organizations working for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis and expatriates.

The event was held at Islamabad Club which was attended by participants from different walks of life. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shafiq Akbar, Chairman Graana Group of Companies and a trustee of AOP shared the vision of this Association. He said that being an overseas Pakistani, he truly understands the problems of non-resident Pakistanis in Pakistan; therefore, AOP will act as a service-oriented platform for their facilitation. The initiative was highly appreciated by Barrister Amjad Malik, Chairman Board of Governors, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), and ensured AOP its fullest cooperation for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis.

Various other distinguished participants also expressed their views on the critical need of such platforms for our growing overseas Pakistani community and their rising problems in Pakistan. The speakers included Maj Gen (R) Saad Khattak, President Graana Group of Companies, Farhan Javed, Director Graana Group of Companies, Matloob Malik, SSP Traffic Police Islamabad, Zeeshan Naqvi, Deputy Mayor Islamabad and Romina Khursheed Alam, Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change.
